Conflict of Dragon Keeper

The conflict in this book all started when the a random person comes out of no where and describes himself as the Dragon Hunter and starts hunting for the stone when heard that there was one more dragon alive. Now the Evil Dragon Hunter is at a fake stone and threatens them to surrender or he will destroy the stone, but what the Hunter didn't know is that if he broke the stone a baby dragon would be born from it.

Pg. 228 "Surrender or I'll destroy it, NOW!" yelled Hunter,
"Just drop it and maybe, just maybe, we can work things out,"
"Never, until I have head,"
I chose these quotes because after they talked an explosion happened and the stone fell and broke but what they didn't know is that the stone was just an egg the real stone is still a big mystery and now they have a long journey to go on, to find the real stone and protect it from the Hunter or anyone else that might threaten them.

The conflict ended when there conversation ended because now the Hunter thinks that the stone was destroy but he still won't stop until the dragon is gone, so they will have problems getting away from but also, he might know that stone was a fake, meaning the dragon isn't the only one in danger.

Dragon Keeper

Title: Dragon Keeper
Author: Carole Wilkiinson
Pages: 331

In the time of the Han Empire in ancient China , the last remaining dragon is in danger of being killed by the cruel Emperor. A nameless orphan with no past and an uncertain future becomes his unlikely ally. The young orphan soon discovers that it is her destiny to protect the aging dragon dragon and his mysterious purple stone. Chased by an evil dragon hunter and a powerful sorcerer, their adventure is not easy. Each must learn to help and understand the other if they are to survive. To succeed in her task the young orphan must reach deep within herself to find courage she never knew existed. No longer can she be the timid, shy orphan she once was. She is now the one, true Dragon Keeper.

Pg. 63, "What was in front is now behind." I chose this quote because I think of when she (orphan) was poor and homeless which is now in the past, cause now she is a protector of dragons and no longer homeless because she considers Ping (the dragon) as her friend.

I believe that this is Person vs Person because she and the dragon are trying to get to the purple stone knowing that they are being hunter by a dragon hunter who wants to kill Ping the last dragon. Though she tries and protects Ping from the hunter knowing that she might die while protecting him becaus e that is how much she cares for him.

The Life and Death of Crazy Horse

Title: Crazy Horse
Author: Russel Freedman
Genre: Biography

This book is about a native American named Kuchunka Witco who was a shy man and at some point became famous for being a Oglala Sioux warrior and a leader of his tribe. They started calling him crazy horse be his horse was literally crazy. He won so many battles including the Battle of Little Bighorn which Crazy Horse and his ally, Chief Sitting Bull led their combined army's to victory against the whites. Later on Crazy Horse was captured by and killed by the soldiers bayonet in
Fort Robinson on 9/5/1877.

Pg.121, "I see a time of seven generation, when all the colors of mankind will gather under the sacred tree of life and the whole earth will become one circle again." I chose this quote because when I read this I was thinking of all the different cultures will come together and make a treaty so there will be no more battles between them and find ways to make the world better.

I don't really know if this book would be a Person vs. Person or a Person vs Society because in the book it talks about the challenges Crazy Horse faced and tells how he is against society because he never felt that whites would be good to have peace with. He felt that they would do a lot of changes in the lokota tribe.

Comparing Characters

The characters that I'm going on compare are Crazy Horse and Eragon. I chose these 2 because they both us to be normal and then at some point in the books they both become leaders of an army.
The difference between these characters is that they both have different time zones and one is a biography about someone's life and the other isn't. Like how Eragon is in a time where dragons were alive and Crazy Horse was in a normal time with no aliens or dragons.

Pg.456 (Brisinger) "So you mean to tell me that Brom is my father." Said Eragon (shocked).
"Yes, the egg was meant for him. But instead it chose you because you were born on the day the egg was mentioned, but the egg had to be touched by someone that had blood of a dragon on there hands." Said Aria."
I chose this quote because this explained on how and why the ended up in the forest and hatched when Eragon touched it, it was because Brom put dragon blood on Eragon when he was gone so that he can someday become a dragon rider when he is ready.

Pg. 117 (Crazy Horse) "Upon Suffering, beyond suffering, The Red Nation shall rise again, and it shall be a blessing for a sick world. A world filled with broken promises, selfishness and separation... A world longing for a light again."
I chose this quote because it talks about a red nation which to the lokota tribe call their enemies and when I hear "The Red Nation shall rise against

Pirates of The Carribean: At Worlds End

Author: Elizabeth Rudnick
Title: Pirates of the Caribben: At Worlds End

This book is the last book of Jack Sparrow and the Black Pearl where a war will rage on between all pirates and the army of the navy with the help of Davy Jones (Flying Dutchman) where they will battle to jones heart from the chest that lies within the pearl and now a war will wedge on between pirates, the navy, and the crew of the Dutchman and only one will win.

Pg. 353 "With his heart we have full control over the Dutchman and his crew, with there help we'll  finally put an end to these pirates for good." Said Cutler Becket, filled with hope.
"And what about our agreement."
"Oh yes our agreement, guards take him away"
"NO! we had a deal." Said Norrington being taken away.
I chose these quotes because this shows that Cutler Becket doesn't care about anything else but power! which he now does over the Dutchman. But for how long?

I think that this story would be Person vs Society because this is a war between all navy and pirates.
And this war will decide which side will win and and one of the greatest battles of pirate history.

Pirates of The Carribean: Dead Mans Chest

This is the second story of Captian Jack Sparrow where Will Turner has found his love but stayed with Jack to find his father, though Jack knows what happened to him he just never wanted to tell him what happened, so instead they went to a lady in the swamp and she told them where to go knowing Jack would have a dept to pay to Davy Jones and now while sending Will to the crashed ship in the storm the Dutchmans crew captured him and brought prisoners up as well to see who will join and who die trying to get in the Dutchmans crew.

Pg. 253 "Jones smiled and moved down the line. At Will, he stopped and frowned.
"You are neither dead nor dying. What is your purpose here?"
"Jack Sparrow sent me," Will replied, "to settle his dept."

Pg. 255 "You have a dept to pay," Jones said to Jack with a nasty growl. "You have been Captian of the Black Pearl for 13 years. That was our agreement."
These two quotes prove that Jack had made a deal with Davy Jones and now Jack had sent Will as a sacrifice to settle his dept.
This story is a Person vs. Person because now Jack wants to keep the Pearl safe from the Dutchmans hands know that he would have to return it, Jack will have to fight and kill Davy Jones in order to keep the Black Pearl but knowing he has no heart, Jack will have to find it and stab it, in order to end the Dutchmans tretchory.

Pirates of The Caribbean: Curse of The Black Pearl

This story is about a boy named Will Turner who left home to find his father but instead comes across a pirate named Jack Sparrow who knew his father and wanted answers but he wanted to find his love first, Elizabeth Swan. Elizabeth was taken by the evil pirate Barbosa and his crew, who raided her village the other night, and now for Jacks freedom he has no choice but to help Will Turner on finding Elizabeth Swan and Barbosa, but Jack double crossed him and tried to get away but Will chased him until they entered a barn and they both fought Jack won but the search for Barbosa's and Ms. Swan had started.
This book is a Person vs. Society because Jack Never follows the laws and breaks every rule. And now Jack Sparrow is one of the Navy's most wanted pirate and Barbosa's worst nemesis.
On pg. 45-56 it says,
"If you want to get out, then you're going to have to help me find Elizabeth Swan and if you don't, then you can stay in your rotten cell forever." Will said breathing hard.
Wait... I guess I will help you fine your beloved Swan but we'll need a ship to leave." Jack replied mysteriously"
These quotes tell that Jack really wants to get out but doesn't really want to help Will because of the how it says "Jack replied mysteriously" as if he has something planned for Will or not.
After Jack and Will left the port with a ship they went to a place where only pirates would go to, and there they found the Black Pearl and now the search Elizabeth Swan and Barbosa has just begun.
